Happy Halloween!!

Halloween evening G&G and I went to the Shores Club House for a little fun with Hudson and Hayden. It was super crowded and I could not keep my eyes on both roaming super heroes. I managed to wrangle G&G up and we went to the park instead. The boys had so much fun. Gavin rode a tire swing with Hayden and her friend. Grayson and Hudson played on the slide. Grayson took a little break and found a book in my purse. So funny!

Pumpkin fun with Addison Part II

Pumpkin fun with Addison

As promised, we returned to the Arboretum for more fall fun. This time Addison and Dayna joined us. The boys loved playing with Addison. Gavin especially loved to chase, hug and tickle Addison. Yes, he is a ladies man! The highlight of the day was when Gavin fed the koi fish crackers. He took a handful of (get this!) goldfish and threw them over the bridge. Immediately approx 20 + koi fish swarmed. WHEW, instant success! Gavin them opened his snack trap and dumped all the goldfish and them took Grayson's (can you hear Grayson screaming?!) and threw them in. It was so funny! Once Grayson got sight of all the fish, he didn't seem to mind "donating" his snacks for good entertainment.

Backyard fun: Battle of the Sticks

Now that the weather is more enjoyable we have been spending alot of time outside with the boys and they love it! Gavin and Grayson have discovered their love of sticks and with over 12 full grown trees in the backyard, they have quite an assortment to pick from. They each found a prized stick and then proceeded to "fence" with each other, play attack, and march around with their sticks. I swear it's in their DNA to just know that boys play with sticks! It was very cute watching them. Gavin has a love of sting rays and his own "imitation run" of them. Grayson has learned this "sting ray run" from watching and they both act like sting rays running around together. It's quite a site to see! Gavin is still in the process of teaching Grayson how to ride the mini quad. Grayson gets on and off with no help needed, however he doesn't always hit the button to make it "go!" Gavin decided to jump on the back and help him out....it was one of those hallmark moments for me watching my sons ride around in the tress together on the mini quad. So sweet! Greg and Gavin enjoyed some play time too. All in all, we have a blast together outside.

Batman...............

Do I really have to comment on how freakin' cute this is!?!?!?
Gavin was so curious about his cape, he took it off and checked it out and then immediately wanted it back on. Before I tucked him in bed, I gave him this story on how all super heroes take off their cape at night! Thankfully he played along and didn't throw a fit.

Gavin's First trip to the State Fair of Texas

Gavin and I joined Papa and ShooShoo at the State Fair this year. Angelina, Tete and Rick met us at Big Tex too! Greg and I decided Grayson was too little to enjoy the fair and will wait till next year for a family outing. Gavin had a blast looking at all the animals and feeding some too! I, however, was assaulted by a camel! Gavin wanted to take a picture with the camel, so we turned around, with our back to the camel, and all of a sudden the camel took a bite on my head! OUCH! Maybe it's time for some conditioner if my hair resembles straw! hah! Gavin also enjoyed the food court (big surprise)! He ate some funnel cakes, pizza, chicken strips, fries and ice cream. We had a great day and can't wait to take Greg and Grayson next year.

Fall is here......here come the pumpkins!

I just love fall in Dallas. We celebrated Gavin's 3rd fall and Grayson's 2nd fall at the Arboretum today. The weather was great and the surrounding company was exceptional. I love all the happy mom's with their babies/toddlers, the retired people, the artists painting, the fresh smells, and so much more that encompass visits to our garden haven! Gavin had a blast running around and pushing the stroller this year. Grayson had a wonderful time running in and out of the pumpkin houses. Gavin was so eager to show Grayson all the pumpkins. It was cute seeing my 2 boys explore a place I love to frequent. Our fav playmate Carter joined us for some fun in the hay maze and lunch. We had a wonderful afternoon and look forward to many more this season.
