Mini - Centurions

Gavin loves anything that includes battles, swords, and armor. He especially loves centurions and knights. While at Costco he spotted these costumes from across the isle and went ballistic! Needless to say, along with the other 10+ dress up costumes the boys have we have added 2 more. Watching these boys not only jump into their costumes but also into their imaginations made the purchase well worth it! I love my little Centurions!

Did I say we wanted snow....okay, we got it!!

Seriously....another day of winter weather, but this time, well, it was done RIGHT!! Snow, lots of it, powder, the kind you live for on a Colorado ski trip! And almost 7 inches of it! The only bad part, it was on top of thick sheets of ice from our ice storm the few days before. This entire week has been a an "out of Texas experience!" Temperatures in the teens and even single digits at night for a week are unheard of in "our neck of the woods!" The boys have had fun, lots of FUN. I've endured lots of laundry, lots of LAUNDRY. Not to mention the little spats and tiffs between the boys because we are house bound. Boomer has been an all around snow buddy! He has had free range of the neighborhood without a leash playing with the neighborhood kids. So much fun, he literally passes out in the evening. All in all, it's been a great week. The lesson we learned from this fun filled week.....we have to move to Colorado and stop just talking about it. This is the weather the Howard Family is made for!

We wanted snow, but we got ice this time!

WHEW! Another day with sub freezing temps. Another day Greg and I off work. Another day with both boys home. Another day with cabin fever! G&G are enjoying the weather, these are die hard outdoors men, however the indoor time is a beating. (No pun intended) Those silly boys have more toys than a toy store, really. And yet, they want what the other has and play nice together for about 10 min, then it's screaming and fighting! They have played nicely in their rooms after I have threatened no book or show later....I've come to the conclusion that we are just not the type of people who can hunker down and stay at home for days on end. We HAVE to get out and do SOMETHING...They have enjoyed playing ice hockey and golf! Even teen temps can't keep these sports fans from their fave activity. In the meantime, we will get through this and try to enjoy the time together, even if it is in 10 minute increments!

Snow day!

Good bye Fall, Hello Winter

One last Fall hooray was spent at the Dallas Arboretum before the pumpkins are gone until next year. We had great weather and the boys were frisky as usual! It is so tough to get a picture with these nonstop moving boys!

T Ball 2010 Gavin

It's been so fun watching Gavin learn and LOVE tball. That little sports fan can knock the snot out of the tball too! Grayson enjoyed watching and playing in the dirt but really wanted to play. He wasn't old enough for this season. We will be playing blast ball this month and he is able to play with Gavin. Should be fun!!
