Going Bonkers

We've talked about going for so long and today we finally did it! We met our favorite little red head and played like crazy! G&G had a blast at Bonkers. They loved it. I was shocked at how confident they both were in climbing through the entire maze by themselves. So brave! We will definitely be coming back soon.

G&G love anything that has to do with a ball, however I know boys true nature to take anything that resembles a weapon and use it as such. I have avoided baseball bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks up to this point. We'll see how it goes. For starters we introduced golf. We live on a golf course and G&G always comment on the golf players. They were excited to have their own set. Greg has taught them well as they know the difference between an iron, driver and putter. Whatever, I still have no clue! So far no injuries have been sustained by either Gavin or Grayson....but it's still week one.

Jumpin' Jellybeans!

The Howard Family had a great time with the Breen's Saturday night. The kids played great and had so much fun! Steve and Greg cooked some super yummy steaks too. G&G loved jumping on the trampoline. So much fun!

Dress Up Saturday

As I was getting ready for my MOMents Conference at Church Saturday morning G&G wanted their Halloween Box of costumes down to play with. Within 30 minutes they both warmer my heart with the super cute antics! Of course towards the end someone had to act up and (surprise) Gavin starting pulling Grayson's lion tail. At first Grayson shouted "OUCH Gavin that hurts my tail!" We started laughing, I said "Grayson now really, that tail is just pretend, it is just dress up, you don't feel that!" He started giggling too and said "No, I'm just silly!"

Happy Easter 2010!!!

We had a great Easter this year. We started the morning with our surprise Easter baskets on the front porch. The boys were thrilled to see what the bunny left them. I worked in Children's Ministry for AM service. Greg and the boys met me at church for the 11AM service. We had a great time with our special guests families the Uhlman's, the Gurss's, the Forness's, and my Mom and Dad. After church the entire clan of 14 went to brunch at Ruby Tuesdays. What a blessing to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus with such special people.

Jonah and the Hippo?!

Grayson's favorite bible story is Jonah and the Whale. G&G were playing with their gorilla mountain toys and he took the hippo and opened it's mouth. He then stuffed one of his super hero action figures-Red Skull-into it's mouth. He was so happy saying "Look Mommy, it's like Jonah and the Whale!" He carried his version of this bible story around with him all morning! So funny!!

Eggs, Eggs and more Eggs

We had fun coloring Easter eggs. The boys did great and enjoyed watching the white shells turn colors. We let them dry and after bath time we decorated them. One eggs cracked and Gavin was curious what was inside. I let him peel the egg and use the egg slicer to see. He thought that was so much fun he wanted to peel and slice all the eggs. Since we don't hide the real eggs and nobody in our house eats them I thought 'why not?!' They decorated the eggs with stickers then cracked and peeled them. Grayson, however, was not happy after he peeled his egg and the color was gone! He cried and had a fit. Gavin was a sweet brother and shared one of his colored eggs. We had fun.
