Gavin's Birthday at the Zoo

We gave Gavin the option of how he wanted to spend his birthday and he emphatically answered "Take Daddy to the Zoo, that'll be AWESOME!" So that is what we did. We had a great time, however the Texas summer humidity got the best of us so we left at noon and spent the rest of the day in the pool. I can't believe my big boy is 4 now! WOW....

Terrific Day with Daddy (and Mommy too!)

We had a great day today with the continuing of Gavin's birthday celebration weekend. We went to church then to Papa and ShooShoo's for more fun. We bought these useless floats at Target and thought they would be fun for the boys. The picture on the pack is a flat out lie! You can't even sit on these crazy floats without sliding off. Yes, we have lots of crazy funny video clips of Greg and I trying to stay on them to no avail! But oh contraire, we made lemonade out of lemons and used them to play hide and seek in the pool-preschool style! We had a great time. Greg entertained us afterwards with is diving board antics! I love my family!

Jumbo from Africa!

We frequent the zoo often and with our membership it's a great day out with the boys that costs of NOTHING but we gain so much each time we go. I can now say I am truly proud of our Dallas Zoo with the new Wilds Of Africa exhibit. It is amazing..... We have been watching them prepare this new Savannah for the last year or so. We even timed it (not on purpose) to be there when Jenny and Gypsy were being moved from their old small quarters to their new wide open Savannah. The boys were so excited to go, they were up at 530AM that morning! They couldn't wait to wear their Africa membership t-shirts and explorer shorts (like Diego!) We had fun watching the trainers work with the new cheetah's, lionesses, and the 2 male lions (who don't have their full mane yet!) G&G fed giraffes lettuce and both enjoyed getting 'kisses' from and petting the ole' long necks! Their favorite part was looking for and spotting Gypsy the Elephant, who has a stumpy tail and is their favorite!! We finished our day in the gift shop (yea, like we don't already have enough plastic animals) getting some more African animals.

Happy Birthday Holden!

G&G had a blast at Holden's Train party! Brandi did a great job planning the fun for everyone including a choo-choo train that took the kids all around the block for an hour and a bounce house water slide. Happy 4th Birthday Holden!

Happy Birthday Carter on the Farm!

We had a great afternoon at Grisham Farms celebrating Carter's 4th Bday! Grayson commented on the drive by saying (as we are driving down a very bumpy one lane tree lined road) "Mommy, are we in Asia?" haha!! The kids had a great time!

G&G love riding their bikes! A few months ago they mastered their trikes and now they quickly advanced to their bikes (with training wheels!) They love to gear up with their helmets and knee/elbow pads, which of course match their bikes!!
