Happy 2nd Birthday to Melody!!!

We had a fun filled day celebrating Melody's 2nd b-day at a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound. G&G had a blast playing with their buddies. Thankfully the weather cooperated and it didn't rain.

Playdate with Carter and Holden!

Gavin has literally grown up with Carter from the day he was born till now. They have had many first outings to zoo, arboretum, rain forest aquarium, cry baby theater and many more. Grayson quickly joined in as part of a super fun boys playgroup. Holden joined us on many outings as well. And now we have a little lady to join in as the Princess of all these rowdy boys. Casey was so kind to open up her house to these wild boys, make them lunch and still take care of newborn Ashley. The boys had a blast!

Nahhh Nahhh

G&G love their stick pony from school. So being a "good Mommy" I went and got them stick ponies for home too. Funny thing though, they had a purple unicorn stick pony. Grayson, in case you didn't know, loves purple, and immediately he wanted the "stick purple unicorn." So home we came with 2 stick ponies and 2 stick unicorns. (whatever Gavin has Grayson wants and vice versa -hence the 2 purple stick unicorns!) After bath time they insisted on riding their ponies in the yard. G&G had a blast!

Princess/Pirate Party

Today we celebrated Baby Sam's first birthday. What a little cutie she was today dressed in pink ruffles too! G&G embraced the opportunity to 'be pirates!' They were so excited to dress up and go out to a party. (keep in mind we have a large dress up box and playing dress up is a fav activity here in the Howard House!) Summer did a fantastic job planning and executing Sam's first party. Everyone had a blast! Sam appeared to enjoy her first smash cake all the while still keeping her self princess-pretty. What a special day!

We're on the mends!!!

The Howard house has once again been struck with strep only difference was this time it hit us HARD! Gavin and I were hit first. Grayson fell ill about 48 hrs later and bad. He was febrile and started getting a rash on his chest, neck and trunk. We took him to the dr and of course has a positive strep culture and beginnings of scarlet fever from strep. YIKES! I didn't even know what that was, I had to google scarlet fever and then I got worried, however with his new antibiotics and motrin we got through it. We stayed home for 6 days and did lots of puzzles, coloring, art projects and snuggling. Unfortunately not alot of sleep was achieved, but nonetheless we are all better. G&G went back to school today and I stayed at the house to be on call and scrub the house with lysol! I am returning to work tomorrow. Even though this was a difficult time we all got through it and spent some good times getting through it together. Greg, AKA Mr Immunity, didn't get hit with strep (yet!) and has been fantastic. He took good care of us. He even had his 39th bday this weekend with an unwelcomed guest. I love you Greg!!
