Happy Birthday to Gavin!
We celebrated Gavin's birthday at Papa and ShooShoo's house. We had a blast! Gavin and Grayson both enjoyed the pool and their patrol boat. Boomer went with us too and did all his usual tricks-jumping off the diving board and chasing us around the pool with toys. Tete, (Christy) Rick and Angelina were also here to celebrate Gavin's 3rd birthday. After swimming all morning, we went inside for snacks and cake. This was Gavin's first cake that he actually dug into! He loved it, which speaks volumes because Gavin doesn't really like sweets. We had a great day. We are so proud to be Gavin's parents. We love you to the moon and back Gavi-doo!!

All we need are some boots and a stick pony!
Our sweet family members from Arizona bought these cute hats for G&G a while back. They worn them a couple of times and then I put them up....until today. G&G love to play dress up and these hats were a sure hit...a little vintage toy for them (ha!) They were running around the house saying "YEE-haw, ride 'em cowboys!" So cute. Even after their bath in their jammies they both wanted their hats on again! Gavin told me tonight he wants boots and a stick pony for his birthday. (Great..I already got him a train table, wooden Thomas train set and more trains!) So, of course, we are planning a trip tomorrow to get he and Grayson their boots and stick pony. Can't wait!

Hot Texas Morning with H&H
Janah and I though all the kiddos would enjoy a morning at the splash park in Rockwall after a yummy breakfast of donuts, juice and milk! We we re right on the later, but the water park was not enjoyed by all. Gavin and Hayden had a blast. Grayson and Hudson wanted to only cuddle with their Mommies! (which was fine by us!) At any rate, we got a couple of cute pictures of our precious children.

A wedding, a wasp sting and Moody Gardens
We went down to League City to celebrate cousin Melanie getting married. The trip down to Houston took 6 hours thanks to crazy summer construction! G&G tolerated it great-such troopers. Thankfully the new pilot has a dvd player for entertainment. The wedding was so nice, at least what we saw of it. Greg had to make a quick escape with Grayson before the bride walked down the isle. I got to see the new husband say "I do" and then Gavin got fussy and wanted to run in the isles. Greg and I met up in the preschool class at the church and allowed the boys to play. We laughed about it and felt sorry for G&G trapped in their car seats for 6 hours then to be expected to sit still in a church...just not feasible or reasonable! We did manage to stay at the reception for about an hour. Thankfully they had goldfish and m&m's for the kids to snack on. As we were leaving I was stung by a wasp (my first time to ever be stung by a flying insect). The sting stunned me and hurt like *&^%!After visiting with Uncle Chuck and his lovely family we finally made it to the hotel room and managed to have the G&G bathed and in their jammies by 11PM. Between Grayson being restless in the crib the hotel provided for us and Gavin sleeping like a wild monkey, and OH yea, the party goers across the hall, I think we managed to get 2 hours sleep. Can you say ZOMBIE!? The next day we ventured to Galveston and went to Moody Gardens and the beach. Both were nice places and I do think G&G had fun amidst the "I'm exhausted tantrums" (no not from Greg and I although we did consider it!)
Overall, traveling with a almost 3 year old and a 1.5 year old is difficult coupled with massive sleep deprivation is just torture. Greg and I both agreed though that the sweet moments cuddling with the boys and interesting conversations with them filled with giggles defiantly made the trip worth it!
